Donated by Jeff Kalwara in association with Dave Blackburn's Kootenai Angler, this is a full day of guided Fishing on the amazing Kootenai River. Here are details: Winners will contact the Kootenai Angler Fly Shop 406-293-7578. Please be sure to mention Reeling in Serenity and the donated trip from Jeff to schedule the best day from there. Dave Blackburn can also assist with scheduling. Anglers will meet at the Kootenai Angler Fly Shop/ Riverbend Resteraunt at 9 a.m. The trip is for two anglers. It’s for a full day including lunches and drinks. Anticipate 7-8 hours of fly fishing and a day of learning: tactics, techniques, beginner or advanced casting, entomology and reading water as well as on water ethics. Rods & flies, rain coats, and pfd's are provided. Sunglasses are not provided and are an absolute necessity. A valid Montana fishing license is required. 1 day licenses are available. You must also purchase the Montana conservation  & AIS ( aquatic invasive species ) passes. 

In addition to guiding Jeff Kalwara is an innovative fly tyer and is always researching new patterns on the river. He is a very enthusiastic guide and always is able to find fish on those tough fishing days. He holds Bronze & Silver certifications with the Flyfishers International Fly Tying Challenge. He holds a FFI casting instructor certificate. He is VP of the Ryan Wagner Scholarship Fund, is an assistant fly casting instructor at Flathead Valley Community College, and teaches fly casting at Trout Unlimited's Glacier Chapter Finfest.
