Our friend Erik Clymore has again sent us a well chosen and thoughtful assortment of flies. Erik outlines it best: This assortment of flies is focused around highly buoyant dries and generic all purpose nymphs housed in a dry dropper specific fly box with extra headroom as to not crush even the bulkiest terrestrials. The indicator dries all feature a "duo" style dropper loop of 8# fluorocarbon. This allows you to tie droppers directly to the barbless dry fly similarly to the traditional method of tying tippet to the bend of a (barbed) dry fly hook. I have tested the connection (the slow motion footage can be viewed on my instagram @erikclymore). Using 4x fluorocarbon tied to both ends of the dry fly and pulling from both ends, the break occurred at the rear loop with zero damage to the dry fly connection point. *The box was graciously donated by Fulling Mill. I have used their range of boxes, with multiple personal boxes being years old, and I will confidently say they are some of the best boxes available.
