Manistee River Steelhead by artist Sarah Landström is a 16" x 20" acrylic on canvas painted in 2021. Sarah is an artist living in San Francisco, and a graduate of the School of the Artist Institute of Chicago. She discovered fly fishing in 2013 while living in Helena, MT - and it completely took over her artistic practice. Working at a large scale, Sarah paints in primarily acrylic. Vibrant colors and expressive mark-making make her work bright and distinctive. She incorporates her landscape/figure painting background to create movement within each piece. Sarah has been extremely generous with her work to support many critical non-profits. Reeling in Serenity is proud and grateful to join those non-profits in offering her work to our supporters. She happens to be a great angler and casting instructor as well.
