Renowned Truckee River expert Matt Heron is donating his very popular Cast n Catch Fly Fishing Class for 2 people. This is by far their most popular class offering the best of both worlds, casting instruction and fishing. The Cast N’ Catch class is 1.5 hours of casting lessons followed by 1.5 hours fishing their private stocked pond. This class is geared for people wanting to try fly casting for the first time, or someone looking to improve their beginner skills. Casts covered will include the pickup and lay down, false casting, roll casting and how to shoot line. All casts will put you in a great position to get your fly to the fish! The classes take place on the private ponds at Everline Resort & Spa (formerly known as the Resort at Squaw Creek) in picturesque Olympic Valley near Lake Tahoe. The pond opens around mid to late May and classes run daily through the end of October (weather/conditions permitting). After the three-hour class, you’ll understand why this is the #1 choice of their students! FYI--there are big fish in the private ponds.
