Jane Retherford is a member of Colorado Women Flyfishers (CWF), Fly Fishers International, Black Hills Fly Fishers, Dakota Trout Unlimited, and mentors in Denver for The Mayfly Project (mentoring foster children through fly fishing). She ties at the Denver and Bellevue Fly Fishing Show, The International Sportsmen’s Exposition (ISE), the Colorado TU “Troutfest”, and various Trout Unlimited Expos throughout Colorado.  She also tied flies at the 2023 Fly Fishers International Fly Tying Group Rendezvous in Branson, Missouri. Her goal is to get more women and children involved in fly tying. She volunteers to teach women fly tying with CWF, and teaches women Veterans to tie flies with Project Healing Waters. She teaches children to tie flies through The Mayfly Project, TU STREAM Girls (Girl Scouts), and the ISE fishing pond for children. She donates hundreds of flies annually to the International Tie-a-Thon.  She is a member of the Pro Team for Solarez UV resin and Daiichi hooks. She has contributed each year to the Reeling in Serenity Online Fundraising Auction! This is a fantastic assortment.
