This is a rod from the legendary Payne Rod Co., built by master rod builder Dave Holloman. It was given to Cleve Speers, Sr., and is unused. Cleve was a legendary reel maker. The rod was donated by Cleve Speer, Jr. The rod is graphite, 8 foot 4 piece 5 weight. The paper on the butt is to keep the reel holder pristine. Though it's a 5 weight it could certainly be fished with a lighter line.
